The city of Dublin, Ohio, initiated an eminent domain action against a landowner concerning a tract of land in Union County, for use in developing a new highway interchange. The property had been by our landowner’s family for over a century. Our firm was co-counsel for the landowner. The city initially offered $6.8 million, a value our client contested. After more than three years of negotiations and litigation, a favorable settlement was finally reached that included a purchase price of over $8 million and payment of a portion of our client’s attorney fees.
