  • Spousal support and custody
October 15, 2015

A business owner retained our firm to reduce his spousal support obligation due to substantial business losses. The client also sought to have full custody of his teenage son who had previously been under a shared parenting arrangement. During the course of the five-day trial, we presented expert witness testimony from forensic accountants, tax advisors, and a guardian ad litem for the teenage son. Our firm was successful in obtaining a termination of the spousal support obligation, saving the client approximately $250,000 in future support payments. The court also awarded our client full custody of his teenage son.

[Burda v. Burda, (Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, case no. 98DR3673)].
